Job Description: Senior Tester
Context
The Bridges platform is the central system of our organisation for managing members, contributions, premiums, reimbursements, and accounting flows.
As part of the modernisation programme - the transition from an existing central system to a modular, web-based platform - we are looking for a Senior Tester who will guarantee the quality of each release through rigorous preparation, meticulous execution, and analytical follow-up of results.
You will work together with business analysts, developers, and key users to ensure that new or modified functionalities are delivered reliably, correctly, and in a usable way.
Responsibilities
- Test preparation and planning
Analyse user stories, functional documentation, and process flows to develop test scenarios. Draft and maintain test plans and test cases in Azure DevOps. Define test priorities based on impact, risk, and dependencies. Prepare test data and validation criteria for financial and administrative flows (contributions, settlements, direct debits, corrections, etc.).
- Test execution
Perform functional, integration, and regression tests across different environments (TST, UAT, pre-PRD).Carefully verify calculations, displays, and data consistency in Bridges. Validate test results against source documentation (Excel settlements, SEPA files, migration files, etc.).Document test results and defects with clear, reproducible steps.
- Defect analysis and follow-up
Record, prioritise, and follow up defects in Azure DevOps, including retesting after fixes. Collaborate with analysts and developers to identify the root cause and reach a quick solution. Verify the quality of fixes before they are released to production. Report test status and quality findings to the project manager and QA lead.
- Regression & UAT support
Maintain a regression test suite that is critical for key processes (contributions, settlements, SEPA, corrections).Support key users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases. Document test results and improvement points for future releases.
- Collaboration & quality culture
Work in tandem with the team to adhere to and improve testing standards. Propose process optimisations that increase system testability. Share knowledge and coach less experienced testers or key users. Actively contribute to the setup and expansion of automated test scenarios.
Profile
Knowledge & Experience
Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing within complex business or financial applications.
Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB or equivalent).
Experience with Azure DevOps, Excel, and basic understanding of databases and data verification.
Experience with testing processes such as contributions, accounting flows, or payments is a major asset.
Experience or interest in automated testing (Selenium, Power Automate Desktop, or similar tools) is a strong advantage.
Knowledge of Power BI or Postman is a plus.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, applied informatics, or a relevant field.
ISTQB Foundation or Agile Tester certification is a plus.
