Job Description

Job Description - Senior Business Analyst

Context

The Bridges platform is the core of our organization for the registration, processing, and reporting of member data, contributions, premiums, and benefits.

The system supports both federal and regional processes and integrates with accounting, payments (SEPA), and analytical reporting.

We are currently engaged in a multi-year transformation project combining the migration of an existing central member management and financial flow system with the development of new, custom functionalities.

Within this context, we are seeking a Senior Business Analyst capable of bridging the gap between business needs and IT and ensuring functional clarity and process consistency across different areas.

Responsibilities

  1. Functional Analysis and Design
  • Translate complex business processes (contributions, statements, premiums, corrections, direct debits, etc.) into clear and actionable functional specifications.
  • Write user stories, flow descriptions, and acceptance criteria according to internal standards.
  • Develop process diagrams and use cases in collaboration with relevant business experts.
  • Support the analysis phase for new developments, as well as for fixes and improvements.
  1. Stakeholder Management
  • Actively coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., Benefits, Accounting, Membership Management).
  • Serve as the point of contact for development teams and vendors.
  • Promote a shared vision of features and priorities in consultation with product owners, testers, and project management.
  • Contribute to structuring governance processes related to change management, prioritization, and test validation.
  1. Quality Assurance and Testing
  • Prepare and execute functional tests in collaboration with testers and key users.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases through clear test scenarios and rigorous defect tracking.
  • Verify data migrations and financial calculations (such as member balances) against reference files.
  • Report any inconsistencies between data from the legacy system and the new Bridges platform.
  1. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
  • Write and maintain functional documentation on the central Knowledge Management platform.
  • Participate in key user training programs at the regional and national levels.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer through structured release notes, demonstrations, and feedback loops.
  1. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in workflows and data flows (Excel exports, Power BI reports, Power Automate automations, etc.).
  • Advise on process standardization and harmonization between services and departments.
  • Actively contribute to governance initiatives related to quality, version control, and documentation.

Profile

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst in complex or regulated environments (financial, social, or public sectors).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, process analysis, and an affinity for financial flows (contributions, statements, SEPA payments).
  • Experience with ERP platforms, data migrations, and functional integrations.
  • Knowledge of databases and data processing (queries, data structures, data flows), as well as Power BI, Excel analytics, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or other ticketing and testing platforms.

Skills

  • Excellent analytical skills, with attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of processes.

  • Excellent communication skills in French and Dutch (professional level).
  • Diplomacy, rigor, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Dynamic and proactive.

Education

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Economics (Applied), Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (BABOK, CBAP, Agile BA) is an asset.

Offer

  • A key role in a strategic transformation project with a visible impact on thousands of members.
  • The opportunity to work on a modern and modular platform that is constantly evolving.
  • An environment where your expertise contributes to stability, transparency, and more efficient service delivery.
  • A hybrid work environment, with on-site meetings.
