  • Support Test and IT Service Management tools

Within the Service Transition team, which includes a dozen professionals, we are looking for an IT Change & Configuration Officer.

YOUR JOB

As an IT Change & Configuration Officer, you are primarily responsible for defining, implementing and managing the Configuration Management processes to manage the CMDB (Configuration Management Database), its structure and ensure that it is kept up to date. You control and support the proper use of the CMDB by the entire DBS department and ensure the quality of the data it contains, so that it is recognized as the "single source of truth" for IT assets.

In addition, you will be responsible - as a substitute - for processes to manage IT changes by identifying and minimizing their impact and mitigating the risks arising from their implementation.

You will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the processes concerned by identifying the avenues for improvement and/or corrective measures that can be implemented in agreement with the Process Owner (Unit Manager) and then managing their implementations in the IT Service Management tool (Omnitracker). You will supervise the team in charge of the development of the tool, establish the roadmap for the evolution of the tool and manage the contractual relationship with the tool's supplier partner.

More specifically, your responsibilities consist of:

  • Maintain the structure of the CMDB repository: You must develop and maintain the CMDB data model and the definition of the underlying concepts (Configuration Item types) to ensure that it is representative of the information system and that it is suitable for the needs of other IT processes and activities.
  • Verify and measure the quality of the CMDB: In collaboration with the managers of the various inventories managed in DBS and with the application managers, you must ensure the quality of the CMDB and the data feeding it and, if necessary, take the required corrective actions.
  • Ensure the proper use of the CMDB: You must ensure the proper use of the CMDB by other IT processes and activities and promote it. You are also in charge of training, coaching and supporting DBS members in understanding the Configuration Management process, the knowledge of the structure of the CMDB and its use in the context of their activities.
  • Propose and support changes as part of the continuous improvement of processes in consultation with process managers and process owners.
  • As the Application Owner of the ITSM (Omnitraker) tool, study these changes with a view to its implementation in the Omnitracker tool, then verify and validate the implementation.
  • Manage the resources made available to support the ITSM tool.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a university degree in an economic, industrial, scientific or IT field.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in this or a comparable position.
  • You have a global knowledge of Information Systems management processes (ITIL with preferred certifications and/or COBIT).
  • You have experience in implementing and managing IT Service Management processes and strive to implement robust and resilient solutions.
  • Continuous process improvement is important to you.
  • You master the technical basics of project management (System Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) / Project Delivery Life Cycle (PMLC)).
  • You have strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • You are fluent in one of the two languages of the Brussels region (both being a plus) and have a knowledge of professional technical English.
  • Basic skills: communication, results-oriented, meticulousness and precision, autonomy, assertiveness, structure, flexibility and resistance to stress.
