About the Role

As a Business Information Analyst, you act as a bridge between the business and the BI (Business Intelligence) world.

You understand and analyse business needs in terms of insights and BI, translate them into technical BI requirements, and prepare briefings for data engineers.

You will also work hands-on in Power BI to develop semantic models and more complex reports/dashboards.

In addition to building the new BI environment in Power BI, there is an ongoing migration of reporting needs from the existing SAP BI environment to Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen the team responsible for data modeling and Power BI reporting to support the business
• Perform functional analysis of source data for Data Engineers to prepare BI requirements
• Build dimensional data models to enable Data & Reporting Analysts (DRA) to create high-performance dashboards
• Develop complex reports and dashboards for business users and support DRAs in building and maintaining dashboards
• Help ensure the delivery of accurate insights within the BI layer
• Maintain existing datasets in Power BI and support DRAs who use these datasets for visualizations and reporting

Profile Requirements

• Strong analytical mindset
• Experience with Power BI (modeling, DAX, visualization)
• Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, reporting, and data visualization
• Knowledge of SQL
• Ability to quickly acquire business knowledge

Nice to have:

• Experience with SAP BI (universe design)
• Experience in the business domain of project management
